	July 11, 2012: The New Normal In the early morning hours of July 11, NORAD conducted their monthly live-fly exercises over DC. These exercises were instituted after the Sept 11th attacks in 2001. This is the new normal in the United States... a state of alert. Another 'new normal' is the extreme weather (floods, heat, etc) we are experiencing due to global warming.
