Warren G. Harding
Mary Pickford (along with other Hollywood greats like Douglas Fairbanks and Lillian Russell,) made the pilgrimage to central Ohio to help in Warren Harding's "Front Porch Campaign" for the presidency. Harding's campaign was the first to be heavily covered by the media and the also the first to use the power of Hollywood and Broadway stars.
