Ecce Homo (Become Who You Are)
17" × 27"
oil on canvas
$380
The jester is the one figure allowed to live in two halves at once — the mask and the face, the performance and the person beneath it. Caught between shows, half in light and half in shadow, this fool isn't entertaining anyone. The title borrows Nietzsche's "behold the man," with his own imperative as the subtitle: become who you are. Whether that's a promise or an unfinished project is left to the viewer.
