Protester: (sold)
Part of the "Change of Plans" series — paintings created on pages from a 2020 day planner. When the COVID-19 lockdown emptied her calendar, Dana Ellyn repurposed some of the unused pages as canvases, painting each one to mark a specific event or benchmark date from the pandemic.
June 2020 — ongoing Black Lives Matter protests. An armed guard was hired by the building where I live and work in downtown Washington DC for a few days during the unrest. Our front doors and windows were covered in plywood for a couple of weeks.
