How It Happened

NZen had put out an open call for artists for a group show titled "Nudes." Dana met with the gallery director to present her work — and instead of submitting to the group show, suggested something different: give her the entire space and make it a solo exhibition instead.

The gallery director agreed, and "Nudes" became Dana Ellyn's first solo show.
