Jazzablanca Festival

Dana Ellyn was the invited artist for Jazzablanca — her painting became the official image for the entire festival.

Reproduced on press passes, the festival invitation, and across the city, the painting Jazzablanca became the visual identity of the festival's sixth edition. Dana presented it on stage, introduced by Eve of Le Soir newspaper, to festival founder and director Hakim Lahlou.

The Story

Invited artist, Jazzablanca Festival

Dana Ellyn was invited to create a painting for the Jazzablanca Festival in Casablanca, Morocco — and it became the image for the entire festival, reproduced on press passes, the official invitation, and throughout the city.

She attended the festival and presented the painting on stage, introduced by Eve of Le Soir newspaper, to festival founder and director Hakim Lahlou. The trip put her in the room for performances by Sophia Charai and Chick Corea, and in the press alongside the festival's own coverage.
