"Light in October" Show
October 11, 2003 from noon-8pm

I will have hundreds of paintings and photographs for sale as part of the second annual "Light in October" group art show/sale.
The event will be held at the historic Barcroft Community Center (800 S. Buchanan Street in Arlington, VA)
 
 
Arts on Foot

I will have hundreds of paintings and photographs for sale as part of the art festival along F Street between 7th & 9th Streets NW. Arts on Foot is a day filled with visual and performing arts and samplings from some of DC's best restaurants.
 
Meridian International Center Juried Art Show
Two of my paintings (Hiding from Vulnerability and Red Fleece Muse in the Hood) have been selected for this exhibit which kicks off the weekend festival, Adam's Morgan Day.

Adam's Morgan Day - Juried Arts Festival
September 6-7
I will have hundreds of paintings and photographs for sale as part of the Art Festival along Belmont Street (between Columbia Rd and 18th St). Adam's Morgan Day is a weekend filled with celebrations highlighting the best of Adams Morgan, Washington's most densely populated and ethnically diverse neighborhoods.
 
1460 Wall Mountables at DCAC

Four of my recent paintings (Sentinel Chickens, Cartoneros Ballerinas, Welcome (with Sheep Head and Rice) and Hunt for WMD)are part of the 1460 Wall Mountables show at DCAC.

"31 Days in July"
Opening Receptions:
Aug 9 (4-9pm) and Aug 10 (11am-4pm)
In July of this year, I will begin a project called "31 Days in July" with artist Matt Sesow (www.sesow.com). We will each create one new painting per day in response to the daily headlines from the print edition of The Washington Post - capturing each day of July in a total of 62 paintings.

This project, "31 Days in July," is currently being proposed to several local galleries and is being promoted on PoeticInhalation.com

My photograph "Do Not Hump" is being published in the June edition of Time Out New York magazine. It hits the stands on June 2nd.
 
June 7th 10am - 10pm: Flemming Center
Several of my urban photos will be on display for the Arthur Flemming Center grand opening celebration. The Flemming Center is a new community center in the Shaw neighborhood (1426 9th Street, NW - 9th & P). Poetry, film showings, music and events all day.
 
Just Announced: Photographs ("Street Cuts", and "Amazement") Selected for purchase by DCCAH (District of Columbia Commission of Arts and Humanities) for their Art Bank.
Art Bank is DCCAH's a moveable collection of works to be displayed in public places that is designed to preserve the city's past and be a legacy for the city's future..

March 4 - April 29: "Insider/Outsider" show at America Oh Yes! gallery.
Exact dates and opening reception to be announced. This show will feature art of trained artists who paint in an outsider motif as well as real outsiders. America Oh Yes! is located at 1350 Connecticute Avenue (suite 202) in the Dupont Circle area of Washington DC.

February 21 - March 9: "Lady Brain Mind Meld" show at MOCA DC.
Opening reception February 21st from 6-8pm.
The goal of the exhibit is to team up two artists, one who starts a piece and another who finishes the piece. MOCA DC is located at 1054 31st Street, NW Washington DC (in Georgetown).
